The Creative Portrait pt. 3

$50.00

This is the third episode in a video series that delves deep into how I execute creative portraits in my studio. In this episode I cover the following setups:

  • Shooting with coconut oil on lens (UV filter)

  • Shooting with pantyhose over lens

  • Intentionally creating shadows as placeholders for colored light

  • Clamshell lighting with neutral and colored light

  • Shifting the color of the ambient room light with the use of a gelled flash

  • Creating in-camera multiple exposures in combination with red, green, and blue-gelled lights

  • Creating a long exposure and “painting” the model with a gelled flashlight

  • Shooting through coconut oil on glass

  • Shooting through honey on glass

  • Shooting through water drops on glass

Once I begin breaking down a certain technique, my camera and light settings are displayed on the screen along with real-time raw files to make it easy to follow along. I also take you through how I color grade the file in Lightroom. Note: there is a Lightroom preset pack based off the color grading in this episode, which is available for purchase in the shop.
