“Alex” - 72mm

$60.00

This is a handmade, one-of-one filter for camera lenses, made with epoxy resin. It's fitted for a 72mm lens, but can be used on any sized lens with the addition of step-up or step-down rings.

The effect will vary based on the focal length of the lens it's being used on, with wider angle lenses showing the full range of colors, and longer focal lengths showing only a portion of the colors. Furthermore, when shooting with a wider aperture (e.g. f/2.8) the colors will blend together, and when shooting with a smaller aperture (e.g. f/11), the colors will appear more separated.

As well being primarily a lens filter, this can also be used with a strobe projector (i.e. a Westcott Optical Spot) and projected onto your subject or scene.

Please note that if the filter is used in this manner when placed on an LED or other hot, continuous light source, the filter can warp, fade, or melt. To avoid this it's best to use with a lower output light or a strobe with a modeling light.

If you would like the filter to be cracked, please email studio@nickfancher.com and reference the filter name.
