Chroma Workshop: Columbus (ONE-Day)
In this one-day workshop we will cover some or all of the following:
- color theory overview
- learning color temperatures
- building up layers of color
- blocking, blending, and bouncing colored light
- multi-colored shadows
- integrating gobos
- implementing shutter drag
- lighting with projectors
- multiple exposure
- handling color files in Photoshop and Lightroom
The format: The days runs from 9-6 with an hour break for lunch. Nick will demonstrate each technique by shooting tethered to a laptop so students can learn by watching. The students are then split into two groups of five, each group with a model. Each student will have ten minutes to try the technique out with the model before regrouping for the next technique. Classes limited to 10 spots.
Required equipment: Students should bring their camera, lenses, and memory card. Nick will provide lighting equipment and gels for students to use.
Refund Policy: Due to travel costs and general workshop expenses, the refund policy is as follows: greater than one month notice, a full refund will be issued. Less than one months notice, no refund will be issued. Workshops can be subject to cancellation due to insufficient enrollment. In the event of a workshop cancellation, students will be given a minimum of two months notice, and a full refund will be issued.
